Blankensee

Blankensee belonged to Kreis Randow (Randow county), Regierungsbezirk Stettin. It is located near the border Poland today.

In 1720, the territory was bought by Otto Gustav von Lepel. When his last heir died in 1826, he returned it to his widow who remarried with Count von Henckel-Donnersmark. The Blankensee church was built from fieldstones five hundred years ago. Until 1945, Blankensee belonged to the protestant parish Stolzenburg (Stolec).

My maternal ancestor Louise Marie Charlotte Fensch came from Blankensee, Kreis Randow.
